Community Impact: Why be involved? – Ladies Business Community

The Ladies Business Community has always been passionate about giving back to our community. We know this is something important to you ladies as well, but we wanted to dive deeper into why getting involved is so important and how it can benefit your business!

1. Overall Life Quality
On a personal level, volunteering and being involved with an organization that benefits a cause you care about boosts self-confidence and happiness, which can lead to an overall higher life quality.

2. The Organizations Need You
More than 80% of nonprofits rely on volunteers. Volunteerism also has a value of over $184 BILLION dollars! This means they need your time and energy in order to help make their operations run smoothly. When it comes to making an impact it doesn’t always mean you have to make a financial commitment, volunteering is just as crucial.

Increased exposure in the community. People are paying more attention these days than ever before, on where their favorite companies are putting in philanthropic efforts. When we all work together and have an abundance mentality everyone feels better and has a better outlook, therefore leading to a more attractive energy, leading to drawing in more opportunity. People want to work with others who are positive! This is also important when your business starts bringing on team members. When we get involved with nonprofits and our community, it fosters an environment of teamwork and worthiness in the workplace.

It goes without saying, you should never volunteer with an organization simply to make more money. People can see through this facade. Communities in schools helps at-risk youth overcome barriers that prevent kids from graduating school. “Our mission is to surround students with a community of support, empowering them to stay in school and achieve in life.”

“Project Beauty Share provides personal hygiene, cosmetics and beauty products to non-profit organizations who serve women and families overcoming abuse, addiction, homelessness and poverty”
